About Us
Barnaderg National School first opened its doors in 1973. Our school was renovated and refurbished in 2006.
Barnaderg National school is situated in the heart of the countryside in Barnaderg, Killererin, Tuam, Co. Galway. We are a short drive from Tuam Town Centre.
We currently have 111 pupils, 6 teachers and 4 SNAs working together in our co-educational school.

We are very lucky to have such a big and modern school! All of our classrooms are bright and spacious. We have a large yard at the front of the school for Infants and 1st and 2nd class. We have a big ball court and field at the rear of the school for 3rd, 4th class and 5th and 6th class. We have a new carpark at the side of the school with a roundabout so that children can arrive and depart safely.
When our school was renovated in 2006, we built a spacious gym, a school library and a general purpose room as well as two new rooms for Learning Support and Resource.
